On October 22-23, UW–Madison, the Japan–America Society of Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation co-hosted over 80 attendees at the 2025 UW–Japan Engineering & Technology Forum. The forum brought together U.S. and Japanese industry, academia, and government, while featuring UW–Madison’s innovations in clean energy, quantum & AI, and advanced manufacturing.

Big Joe’s Custom Forklift Donation Deepens Partnership with UW–Madison College of Engineering
On August 19, Big Joe Forklifts donated a new lithium-ion battery IBH stacker to the University of Wisconsin–Madison, replacing one that had been used since the 1960s. The event strengthened academia-industry partnerships and underlined ingenuity and innovation across Wisconsin.
